Year 3

Welcome to Year 3!

Our engaging and purposeful Year 3 curriculum offers a broad range of knowledge and skills to enthuse and support children's development in all subjects, beginning with our Art and Design project, 'Who am I and what are my values?' in the autumn term. 

Later in the year, we have the privilege of becoming historians by delving way back in the past to the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age before visiting more recent history in our World War Two local project. The summer term sees the children as enthusiastic explorers and geographers, when children will be studying areas close to home, with our 'Wonderful Waterways' project focused on the local River Blackwater, as well as looking more globally at the health of our rivers and oceans. 

Throughout the year, childre will be able to show off their excellence in learning, as families will be able to share and celebrate their children's work through assemblies, 'museums' and art galleries, which really gives them that purpose for learning!
