How can compassion bring change to the world?
Today the whole school competed in the annual Cross Country Competition around the Bocking Blackwater Nature Reserve. The first six boys and girls from each year group have been selected to represent the school for the upcoming races where they will compete against other schools. Well done to all of the children for completing the course!
There was lots of resilience and perseverance on show. The Year 3 and 4 children ran 800 metres whilst the Year 5 and 6 children endured the longer 1,500 metre challenge!
On Friday 19th January, Mrs Collins, Mrs Walker and Mr Wrench took the school choir to the O2 Arena in London to perform at Young Voices! The children were lucky to be seated in VIP Suites so they enjoyed a spectacular view and could enjoy and perform at the concert in style.
We were lucky enough to be joined by many parents, who had excellent seats just beneath us, and the children were extremely excited to spot them when they arrived. Every child made themselves and the school proud; they sang beautifully as they always do!
A special thank you must be given to Mrs Collins and Mrs Walker for dedicating many hours to the children, so they were prepared for the event.
