Year 6 visit from farmer Collins

On Wednesday 22^nd December 2022, local farmer, Mr Chris Collins, came into school to speak to Year 6 about being a farmer. He captivated the pupils with his tales about working on a huge farm in America and driving many different engines, including tractors and combines.  He went on to explain why farmers need our help and what he is doing to diverse the farm.  However, the highlight of the morning was when he revealed that he had come on his tractor. Remarks of "It's huge!", "It's massive!" and "I've never seen anything like it before!" could be heard as the pupils walked down to see it. After a great deal of time inspecting the tractor, the pupils watched as Mrs Hausner (a much-loved lsa) climbed up to sit in the seat.
