On Friday 13th December, Year 6 held their Climate Change Exhibition during which they showcased their watercolour batik artwork, persuasive speeches and lines from their climate change poetry. Parents and careers came to have a look around as did the rest of the school. All the children did very well and made the Year 6 team very proud.
We couldn't be prouder of the school choir for their incredible performance this evening at Braintree Town Hall for the Chairman’s Christmas event. Their hard work and talent truly shone, filling the stairwell with festive joy and magic!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Walker for leading the choir and giving up their time to make this happen – your dedication is so appreciated. And, of course, a big thank you to all the parents for supporting the event. What a fantastic way to kick off the Christmas season!
On Wednesday the 4th December, we welcomed Laurie Rosenburg to our school for a special assembly all about the special Jewish festival of Hanukkah. The children enjoyed learning about some Jewish traditions and lighting some of the candles on his Hanukkah menorah.

Year 4 created an art installation to promote awareness of food waste.
Year 3 have visited the River Blackwater with Bryan Baker from the Friends of the Bocking and Blackwater. They conducted some data collection, sketches of the area and saw some of the many species that live there. Bryan helped the children to identify different types of plants, which the children collected data about in a tally chart. This visit is part of their project entitled 'How and why should we look after our local river?'
